Happy Day!!

My neighbor brought me one of these Friday night!

Our neighbors brought us this *slow cooker* on Friday night! I think they felt sorry for me. I had 2 sick kids, 1 sick husband, 1 kid in a cast from surgery!! They wanted to give me a *Happy Day*!! Isn't that just the sweetest??

Updates....

The drugs have her acting SILLY!!!

Her hand *pre-op*

More silly faces!!

Her new cast....she is sick of it already! Can't do much for herself ;-)

Surgery went well. We got to come home that night. She doesn't like that the cast covers her entire hand, though. She has to have help to do everything!!! She has been a trooper. No complaints about pain! She is getting around on her own, for the most part.
I won't let her jump on the trampoline, so she is not happy about that. I'll post some pre-surgery pics and some post-surgery pics as well. Enjoy! Happy weekend!!

Surgery...

Kaylea has surgery tomorrow afternoon on her hand....please pray for her, the attending doc and those assisting him. We thought they were going to only do syndactaly surgery to remove the webbing between some of her fingers. Yesterday, during the pre-op appointment he decided to work on her thumb and get it out of her palm. So, I am praying that she still will have improved function of her right thumb. I'll post when we get home!

Where has the time gone??

I can't believe my *baby* is 14!!!! WOW!!! All she talks about lately is driving, going to college and her career!! She is obviously a TEEN!! She is such a great kid, though!! She helps me so much with the little guys. Rubea is her favorite, though! On Sunday we went to Sea World in honor of her day (since dad had to work tonight...he has new kids in) She is not much of a cake kind of girl, so she chose Cheesecake, instead, mmm.....

Six months??

Already?? Rubea has been with us for 6 months! My how she has changed. She was so frail the first days that we had her. She couldn't hold her head up, roll over, babble, lay on her tummy, etc. She didn't move at all in her sleep, either. Now she is sitting up, playing with toys, can move (a small distance)in her wheelchair, loves to *jump* on the trampoline, loves to play on her tummy, and trying to *scoot* on the floor, talks constantly, points to things she sees or wants. And...she has HAIR! It is below her ears now. She is a love bug and wants to be held, entertained, up and going. She is about the same size as all her clothes still fit. She looks much healthier. I remember the moment I first laid eyes on her in China. My eyes welled with tears as I realized just how delayed she was. I looked over at the other mom traveling with us and she looked at me and said *it will be ok* I'm am ever grateful that they were there with us in Nanchang! She was right, everything IS ok and Rubea is a gem!! We just couldn't imagine our lives without her! Thank you Shuey's for your constant encouragement, support and friendship!!I can't wait to see how Rubea progresses in the next 6 months. So, stay tuned!

Free T-Shirt

What do you think of this T-Shirt that I ordered for my baby Sister? I only put it on the blog to see if she ever reads this! Vista Print will let you design a simple shirt for free.....so, other than shipping, this is a freebie, but made with much love! She is getting ready to walk for the 3rd year in a row. She started doing this for her friend, Cory who had breast cancer. Sadly, Cory lost the battle after the last walk in the fall. Go Lori and the rest of *Cory's Crew* We are proud of each of you!!!!!!
