  • packed Not's bag of clothes and misc items
  • purchased plane tickets
  • packed gifts for those who have taken care of Not
I still want to get a new camera before we leave. Anyone have a camera that they love?

Canon Rebel XTi is the camera I want! Others use the Nikon D40.

Yeah, I think Shana uses that one and her pictures are WONDERFUL. I've been reading her blog for over a year and never see a bad picture!!

I've been reading Shana's blog since she was in China for Sophie... see, we knew each other way back then and didn't know it!

Carla,
I made the step up from my point and click digital camera to my first big girl digital camera. I felt like I better do that before dropping $400.00 on one no matter how much I wanna play around with all the perks it gives you. I can't rave enough about Lumix. Mine was around $220.00 and it has so many options and takes such wonderful photos and does video pretty easily. I'm pleased with it. It's the first time I have taken video and actually gotten it on the web without giving up due to something going wrong. If I can find my link later I'll link you to my flickr and let you see the photos I take. I'm not very good, but you know I love it.

P.S. I am in love with one of the little girls in that photo of your son. My daughter ran over and said oh she's so cute. I was thinking the same thing! You're fueling my fire to get in gear and adopt from Thailand ASAP!

lona,
Which little girl?? If it is one of the ones in the picture of him with 2 girls, they are BOTH adopted. The smaller one came home 16 months ago to New Mexico, the taller girl went home about 8 months ago to England. Those 3 kids were in the smaller orphanage that my dd Kaylea was in. They had 11 kiddos when I got her. It was run by an organization in Europe. They closed it about 19 months ago. We keep in touch with the families. So, Not and Kaylea were together for years and now will be brother and sister!! How awesome is that???
God is GOOD!!!
